Chiropractic Massage Beds In Chiropractic Therapy
Although the chiropractic treatment for most musculoskeletal disorders is primarily spinal adjustment, the trend in chiropractic is moving towards the use of chiropractic modalities and chiropractic beds as an adjunction to chiropractic therapy to help streamline and improve patient care. Some of these modalities include chiropractic aqua beds and chiropractic massage beds. Chiropractic Massage Therapy - Aqua Beds
Some of the chiropractic beds used today help to provide the chiropractic patient with relief from the potential discomfort chiropractic adjustments may cause; especially those chiropractic patients who are tougher than most to adjust. One of these chiropractic beds are referred to as chiropractic aqua beds. These chiropractic aqua beds combine the chiropractic healing therapies of water, heat and massage in a single modality that provides the patient with a relaxing therapeutic chiropractic treatment. Chiropractic aqua beds help to increase the patients’ circulation, advance the muscular healing process and soothe any pain the patient may be feeling following a chiropractic treatment.
Chiropractic massage beds differ from regular massage by providing the patients with a therapeutic massage without having to disrobe or be touched by another person. Chiropractic massage beds also allow for the chiropractor to program the specific treatment needed for individual patients by controlling the speed, pressure and length of massage. Many chiropractors prefer chiropractic massage beds over other forms of massage. Some of these reasons are:
- Chiropractic massage beds provide consistency ; they are able to give patients the same chiropractic massage every time
- Chiropractic massage beds provide the therapy of another employee, however do not require vacation days, sick time or employee benefits
- Chiropractic massage beds can provide chiropractic massage all hours the practice is open without needing a break
Chiropractic beds have not only been helpful to the patient, they are beneficial for the chiropractor as well. The combination of water and heat warms and loosens the patient’s muscles, prepping them for a much easier adjustment. According to Dr. Randy Trice, “the bed definitely helps me too as it makes adjustments much easier. I will put my customers on the bed for 10 minutes prior to an adjustment which makes it much less physical on my own body, especially for those who are extremely tight.” This is very important because chiropractors rely on their hands to provide chiropractic adjustments and treatments. The AquaMED helps to provide relief for the chiropractors by loosening the muscles of their patients prior to a chiropractic treatment.
